Trisha Mckee Bertsch

December 18, 1940 — October 18, 2025

Las Vegas, Nevada

Trisha M. Bertsch of Las Vegas, NV passed away on October 18, 2025, peacefully at home in Las Vegas surrounded by the love of her children and grandchildren.

Trisha was born in Auburn, New York on December 18th, 1940. Her parents were Elizabeth and Charlie King of Auburn, NY who later became longtime residents of Las Vegas, NV.

Trisha was a smart, strong, self-educated career driven woman. She forged her own path in the casino industry at a time that was uncharted for women. She was a role model for many working women in the casino industry.

Trisha began her gaming career as a cage cashier for Caesar’s Palace Las Vegas in 1974. In 1979 she accepted the position of Director of Personnel for Caesars’s Boardwalk Regency. Her badge number was 001 and hired a record breaking number of 2220 employees in 5 days. One of her proudest career achievements was to help settle labor union negotiations in 1982 for Caesars Boardwalk Regency. She eventually made the great accomplishment of becoming the Vice President of Operations for Elsinore’s Atlantis Hotel and Casino during her time in Atlantic City, NJ.

In 1986, Trisha returned home to her beloved city of Las Vegas and after a brief time away from the gaming world, in 1988, she would soon accept a position as the Human Resource Director to open the brand new Excalibur Casino Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Opening in June 1990, it was the world’s largest hotel & casino with over 4,000 employees.

Trisha met her husband, Larry Bertch, of almost 45 years while working at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas. They were married in 1978 before relocating to Atlantic City together. They both had a passion for the gaming industry, supporting and relying on each other to reach their personal and career goals in life.

In retirement, Trisha enjoyed travel and many motorcycle trips with her husband, Larry. She enjoyed spending time being a Grandma, reading and curating an extensive private library. She loved her weekly coffee groups with her friends and caring for her beloved pets Raider, Gus, Rebel, Tackle and Biker.

Both Trisha and Larry were avid UNLV sports fans and supporters. They loved going to the Men’s and Women’s basketball games along with UNLV football games. Trisha was a lifelong diehard Raider’s fan and was very proud of the Las Vegas Aces. The news of their championship win this year put a very big smile on her face prior to her passing.

Trisha is preceded in the afterlife by her husband Larry L. Bertsch of Las Vegas, NV and her parents Betty and Charles King of Las Vegas, NV.

Trisha is survived by daughter Monica McClintic, son Andrew (Michelle) McClintic, stepdaughter Lauren (Richard) Revenson, stepson Michael(Katherine) Bertsch, her grandchildren Jacob, Sabastian, Zachary, Priscilla, Alexandra, Trevor, Kaitlyn and two great grandchildren Kaylea and Riggs.

Our Mom, Grandmother and Friend will be dearly missed. Her great stories, witty sense of humor along with her zest for life and love of the Las Vegas Raiders and UNLV sports made her special to all that knew her.

Services will be privately held in her honor. She donated to many charities including Catholic organizations, children organizations, animal organizations and to UNLV.
