Valerie Marie Hicks Coburn 71, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away unexpectedly on July 29,2026. Valerie was born on April 14,1955, in Liverpool England to Duane V. Hicks and Doreen Marie Coburn. Valerie is survived by her brother Glenn (Lisa) Hicks of Wellborn, Florida, brother Randy (Vickie) Hicks, Live Oak, Florida. Valerie is preceded in death by her father Duane and mother Doreen. Valerie resided in England, Florida, and Maryland before making Las Vegas her home. Valerie was a woman of faith and found her greatest joy in serving her savior Jesus Christ. She loved being a part of the praise and worship team of churches she attended. She loved sharing the gift of music through her guitar and songs. She volunteered as a Chaplin at local hospitals. She loved walking down dirt roads and enjoying nature and the beach when visiting family in Florida. Valerie greatly loved her nieces, Jessica, Randi, Makayla, and nephew Zachary. As her family we are reflecting on the beautiful moments we shared with Valerie. A Celebration of Life will be planned for Valerie at a future date in Florida.
