Vera Lee Kirkland (91 years young) of Quitman, Texas. Sunrised 10/16/1928 and Sunset 05/11/2019.
Member and Church Mother of Progressive Pilgrim Fellowship Baptist Church. Parents: Acie and Polly McMillan. Attended Jarvis Christian College where she met and married Ozel Kirkland. Owned and ran a successful restaurant in Denver, Colorado.
Survived by four children: Ozel, Dianne, Dennis, and Gregory Kirkland, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
