Vincent Anthony Zeccola, 87, passed away peacefully on January 11, 2026, after recently relocating to Henderson, Nevada. Affectionately known as “Vinnie”, he was born in Harlem, to Anna and Anthony Zeccola on November 18, 1938. As a young child, his family moved to the Bronx where he attended school at St. Raymond Elementary, and St. Helena High School. After high school, he formed a Doo-Wop group, the Corvets, wrote several hits for the group, and they performed in the Bronx and the local NYC area.
Following his Doo-Wop era, Vinnie attended City College as a music major at Julliard where he studied composition. In pursuit of his dream to compose scores for movies, he traveled to California. He lived on the West Coast for one year when he was contacted by a securities firm on Wall Street, and he was offered a job he couldn’t refuse. Upon moving back to New York, he went on to have a long, successful career in the securities clearing divisions of Paine Webber (UBS), Morgan Stanley, Schroeder’s, and Bank of New York, and ultimately formed his own firm, Clear-Vu Concepts, Inc., in which he was an industry consultant until his retirement.
He loved living in the Bronx, was a lifelong NY Yankees fan, enjoyed the food, sights and sounds of New York City, and had fond memories of spending many winters in Florida after his retirement. He was an avid opera buff and was known for his encyclopedic knowledge of music in all genres, particularly classical and opera. He also authored short stories, poetry, and a novel.
Vinnie is survived by his wife, Linda, his stepdaughter, Melanie, and his brother and wife, Joseph and Barbara Zeccola.
