Wilfredo Vitug Nicolas, known better as Willie, age 70, took his last breath on Saturday, September 11, 2021, in Henderson, Nevada. Our beloved Father was born on February 10, 1951, in Quezon, Philippines to Belen Vitug and Teofilo Nicolas.
He was happily married to Lolita Nicolas and shared more than 37 years together until she joined her heavenly family last year. He had three children, Brian, Rachelle, and Marlyn who he loved unconditionally.
Willie was very talented in many ways. He was a quality control engineer by trade but also was a handyman, car mechanic, carpenter, drawing artist, singer, and gardener. Of all his many talents, Willie was best known as a loving and giving father and a family man. It was a goal of his to show the world to his children. He spent hours driving in his purple van to visit all the states of the United States. He succeeded.
After gaining citizenship in the US, Willie resided most of his life in Illinois. When living in Illinois, he grew an entire garden of vegetables and enjoyed playing in the snow with his kids. His family and he relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada in 2000, While residing in Las Vegas, his interests include real estate investing, watching YouTube, visiting the casinos, eating at buffets, and collecting coins. Willie was a hard worker his entire life. Despite his health, he pushed through all the challenges life presented to him. He loved to joke around, talk about his kids, and reminisce about the past. Willie certainly did not disappoint when loving his family wholeheartedly. Although his time was short here on Earth, he’s finally reunited with his wife, brothers, and parents in Heaven. His legacy will continue with his children. The footprints he left will be forever embedded in all the hearts he has touched.
