William Robert Brown, affectionately known as Bill, passed away peacefully on April 1, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Born on June 11, 1941, in OKO, Oklahoma, raised in Dallas, TX, from the age of six months to Juanita M. Short of Nocona, Texas, and William M. Brown of Knoxville, Tennessee.
In service to his country, Bill proudly served as an infantryman in the United States Marine Corps from March 1962 to March 1965. His time in the USMC reflected his steadfast character and commitment to discipline—qualities that would define much of his personal and professional life.
Following his military service and academic success, Bill pursued an education and earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1970 from East Texas State University in Commerce, Texas.
He dedicated 20 years of his career to the industrial equipment sales industry. His expertise and work ethic earned him respect among colleagues and clients alike. After retiring in December 1988, at the age of 47, Bill relocated from Dallas to Las Vegas, Nevada, where he embarked on a new venture as a rental property owner and landlord, a role he embraced for 30 years.
Bill’s faith was a cornerstone of his life. A lifelong Methodist, his spirituality offered guidance and comfort throughout his journey. This faith sustained him during challenging times, including the passing of his first wife in January 2002, after 30 years of marriage. Finding hope and companionship anew, Bill remarried on April 2, 2014, to Vangie, the love of his life, marking a beautiful chapter of renewed happiness.
Bill is remembered not only for his professional accomplishments but also for the integrity with which he lived. His devotion to his family, friends, and faith community was evident to all who knew him. Those who had the privilege to call him a friend or loved one witnessed a man of warmth, humility, and unwavering dedication.
Please leave a generous gift to the LAS VEGAS SPACA ("doggies only") in Bill's name if you wish.
