William Bowen Moore died in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 18, 2026 at the age of 64.

William was born on May 29, 1961 in San Diego, California to John Atkin Moore, Jr. and Barbara Jane Moore.

William (Bill) moved to Oakland, California in 1965 when his father took a job at Kaiser Aluminum. Bill attended Joaquin Miller Elementary School, Montera Junior High School, and then graduated from Skyline High School in 1979. He was active with Boy Scout Troop 206 and the youth ministry of First Covenant Church. Bill discovered a love of swimming at a young age and swam competitively on the Aquabears Swim Club. When Bill was 12, the team took a trip to Hawai'i and Bill fell in love with the islands.

Bill graduated from Pepperdine University in 1983 with a bachelor's degree in Accounting.

After graduation, he moved to Hawai'i where he worked as an accountant in various industries until 2019. In retirement, he moved to Las Vegas in 2022. There, he enjoyed sharing the Aloha Spirit with his small community of friends. He lived a happy, simple life until his passing.

He is survived by his sister Julia Anne Kerns, son Alexander Hideo Okawa Moore, daughter-in-law Priscilla Si Men Zheng-Moore, and daughter, Mikaela Pomaikai Moore.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his younger brother, Brian Edward Moore.

He will be buried at Palm Eastern Cemetery.
