Young Lim

On July 19, 2023, Young Kyu Lim, 80, breathed his last breath in his hometown of Henderson, NV and was welcomed with open arms by his Heavenly Father saying, "Welcome home my child".

Young was born on August 24, 1942, to parents Pyung Hyuk and Soon Hi Lim in Seoul, South Korea. Shortly after graduating from Hanyang University in 1965 with a degree in Nuclear Engineering, he immigrated to the United States in 1969 in pursuit of his masters degree in mathematics, to which he successfully achieved in 1971 from the University of Nevada Reno.

Young is survived by his wife, Junglim Park-Lim, his son Paul Lim and daughter Sarah Lim (from his deceased wife, Seung Duk Lim), his grandchildren Siena and June Beeghly (from his deceased daughter, Janice from his previous marriage to Angela), and his stepson Daekwon Koh. He was a caring father and husband who continuously prayed for his family and loved each of them immensely.

Young was a man of resilience taking what life threw at him and transforming it into something beautiful. As Roy T. Bennett wrote, “Believe in yourself. You are braver than you think, more talented than you know, and capable of more than you imagine.”

Remembering how Young lived his life, we are reminded of Ephesians 3:20 which states, "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us." What may seem impossible is possible when you believe and have faith knowing God is in control.

Please join us as we gather to honor Young Kyu Lim on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Davis Funeral Homes & Memorial Park located on 6200 South Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89119 . Viewing will be from 4-6pm with service to follow from 6-7pm. Reception will follow after at Lee's Korean BBQ - Woonamjung at 6820 Sprint Mtn Rd. Ste 110, Las Vegas, NV 89146 at 7:30pm.
