Yury Gutierrez

Yury Katerine Gutierrez, beloved mother, daughter, and friend, passed away on March 22, 2026, in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the age of 35.

Yury was born on December 24, 1990, in Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia, to Victor Hugo Rios and Alba Lucia Cifuentes. She pursued her passion for animals and graduated as a veterinarian from Universidad Autónoma de las Américas in Medellín, Colombia, a reflection of her dedication and love for the work she believed in.

After moving to the United States, Yury built a successful dog-sitting business, where she cared for every dog as if it were her own. She had a natural confidence with animals—a calm authority that they instinctively trusted and followed. Families relied on her not just because she loved their dogs, but because she understood them.

Yury had a deep love for Las Vegas, a city she proudly called home. Having traveled to many places across the United States, she found her heart in Las Vegas and embraced it fully.

Above all, Yury was a devoted and loving mother. Her greatest joy in life was her daughter, Bria Eve Gutierrez, who was her mundo—her world. From the moment Bria was born, Yury was reborn with her, and everything she did was guided by her love as a mother. Yury shared a deep bond with Daniel Ray Gutierrez, the father of her child and someone who remained an important part of her life. Their connection was built on love, friendship, and a history that will never be erased.

Yury will be remembered for her beauty, her strength, and the way she carried herself with confidence and presence. She had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and understood, and her impact on those around her will not be forgotten.

She is preceded in death by her father, Victor Hugo Rios.

She is survived by her daughter, Bria Eve Gutierrez; her mother, Alba Lucia Cifuentes; her brother, Duvian Stewar Rios Cifuentes; Daniel Ray Gutierrez, the father of her child and someone who remained an important part of her life; and extended family and friends who will miss her deeply.

Yury’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved her, and especially through the life and future of her daughter.

Funeral service details will be announced at a later date, pending the arrival of family traveling from abroad.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to all those who have offered love, support, and prayers during this difficult time.
