Kathleen Shanahan

Kathleen Shanahan, beloved mother, sister, and grandmother was called to her eternal resting place on 6/25/22. Born 7/30/48 in San Francisco CA to Vivian and John Shanahan. She is survived by her husband John Singley, children Melissa and Justin, and siblings Vivienne Frost, Ray (Shirley) Jack (Susie), and Monica Shanahan. She was a devoted aunt to many nieces and nephews and a wonderful friend to her mother-in-law Joan Marie.

Kathy entered the Sister of the Holy Family order after high school and was devoted to teaching young children. After 20 years she decided to leave the order of Sisters but continued teaching for the Las Vegas school district for thirty more years.

Kathy had many passions including education, she obtained two Master's Degrees. She loved music and was a skilled guitar player and singer. She prided herself on her Irish Heritage, making several trips to Ireland with her husband.

Kathy always had a song in her heart, a twinkle in her blue eyes, and a smile on her face. Kathy was loved by all who k ew her.
