Matthew Lee Tyler

Matthew Lee Tyler, 46, of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021, in Henderson, Nevada.

Matthew was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico to Robert Tyler and Stella Martinez on September 21, 1975. Matthew became affectionately known as Matt to all who knew and loved him.

He spent his childhood in New Mexico, where he graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1994. As a young adult, Matt made the move to Las Animas, Colorado to live with and care for his Aunts Ruby “Ditty”, Dorothy and Pearl. It was in Colorado where he met the love of his life, Georgette Sauceda. Matt and Georgette were married on September 27, 1997, and together they lovingly parented two children, Janea and Matthew Jr.

Matthew is preceded in death by his mother, Stella Martinez; brothers, Ted and Samuel Tyler; aunt, Ruby “Ditty” Valdez; niece, Brandi Martinez and father, and mother-in-law, Martin and Mary Sauceda, Sr. 

Matthew is survived by his father, Robert Tyler; wife, Georgette Tyler; children, Janea and Matthew Tyler, Jr.; godchildren, Sterling Tyler, Deyon Sutherland, Aubree Arellano, and Aveah Arellano; and siblings, Brenda Martinez, Curtis (Cruzer) Tyler, Travis Tyler, Eric Martinez, Robby (Joni) Tyler, Bryan Martinez, Amanda (Wallace) Lathrop, Victoria Tyler, Ruby Tyler, and Sterling Tyler.

Funeral services will be held in Matthew’s home state of Colorado and will be announced at a later date.
