Me May Mika-Togiola

May 17, 1952 — June 30, 2021

Me May Mika-Togiola, 69, resident of Las Vegas, NV passed away on June 30, 2021. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 2245 S. Lindell Road, Las Vegas, NV 89102. Burial services to be held afterwards at the Davis Funeral Home and Memorial Park at 6200 S. Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV.

May was born on May 17, 1952 in the village of Sapapali’i on the island of Savai’i in what was then called Western Samoa (now referred to as the independent nation of Samoa), to Paniani Ainu’u, a police officer and Poulele Masame, a homemaker. She spent her childhood in her hometown and was also raised by her grandparents Sosopo & Masame Tauva’a then later moved to Apia during her teenage years and then completed high school in New Zealand. Soon thereafter, she started a family. In search opportunities to support her children, she made her way to American Samoa where she ultimately met her lifelong partner and husband, Tofilua Mika-Togiola. In a few short years, the couple and their children emigrated to the island of Oahu, in the State of Hawaii where they would raise their family until 1998. In the fall of 1998, May and the family moved to Salt Lake City, Utah and finally in 2016 made Las Vegas, Nevada their final hometown.

During her adolescent years in Samoa and early years in Hawaii, she would develop and master two skills that would be lifelong passions—sewing and cooking—and this would serve as the foundation for her very own small business. She was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. An incredibly soft-hearted person, May would over the years assist numerous families and individuals who needed a place to stay. She will always be remembered as a giving and trustworthy person.

She is survived by her sons Anthony Sam, Tofi Jr., Albert, Fetulele, Hawaii, Leon Pani; daughters Sui, June Gibson, Viola, Poulele, Faith and Ramiah; 29 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
