Victoria Ann Talbot

July 22, 1976 — December 7, 2019

Victoria “Vicci” Ann Talbot, 43, of Henderson, Nevada, passed away on December 7th, 2019.

Victoria was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to Lee and Julia Talbot on July 22, 1976.

Victoria grew up in Sugarville, Utah and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Southern Utah University in Cedar City, Utah. She taught elementary education in Utah from 1998 to 2000. In 2000, she moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where she continued her teaching career in the Clark County School District, receiving the exemplary status of a Highly Qualified Teacher and studying and completing her Masters in Digital Learning from University of Nevada in Las Vegas in 2017. During that time, she also transitioned into a coaching position for both K-5 teachers and students with the PZIC and Read by Grade 3 programs.

Victoria had a great love for her coworkers whom she considered family, her cats, and the books into which she would lose herself, in both reading and writing. Her hobbies were wide and varied, with a particular bent toward anything Star Wars, fantasy roleplaying games, painting, and novel-writing. If it was goofy and quirky, she would pick it up.

Victoria is preceded in death by her brother, Kirk Talbot.

Victoria is survived by her mother and father, Julia and Lee (Diane), her brother Anthony (Laura), her three nieces, and her boyfriend Daniel Powell.

A celebration of life will be held from 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm on Thursday, December 19, 2019, at Ulis Newton Elementary School in Henderson, with arrangements made by the school staff. Guests are asked to wear green in honor of Victoria's favorite color.
