Obituary

Ronnie Lee Morris passed away in our hearts on Friday, August 14, 2020. He was 68 years young. Born in March of 1952 in Seal Beach, California to Chester and Wilma Morris who went ahead to greet him at Heaven’s Gate. Ron lived most of his life in Southern California attending and graduating from Montebello High School before enlisting in the U.S. Airforce where he served as an honorable Sergeant in Vietnam until 1973. Upon returning to civilian life he worked as a journeyman until achieving his trade status of a Master Electrician and started his own company, Morris Electric. In 1996 he relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada and joined the IBEW electrical union where he remained a member until retirement. Ron was known for being a lover of family outings, sports, the Los Angeles Lakers, his Harley Davidson, and the outdoors. Some of our fondest memories of him include his humor, camping and fishing trips along with watching the 49ers play Monday night football. But by far the most cherished memories are of the years he spent loving, caring and just being “Dad” to his daughters. He is survived by his three daughters, Gina Melendez, Katrinka Dotson, Roni Chrostowki and their spouses David and Brett, his sister Judy Morris and brother-in-law Bill, niece Michelle and nephew Michael. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Arriana, Giovanni, Malik, Evan and Alex. He was a wonderful son, brother, father, uncle, grandfather, and friend. From your girls: We little knew that day That God was going to call your name. In life we loved your dearly In death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you You did not go alone. For part of us went with you The day God called you home. You left us precious memories Your love is still our guide And though we cannot see you You are always by our side. Our family chain has been broken And nothing seems the same. But as God calls us one by one The chain will link again.
